New Beginnings

One year ago this week, two things happened. My daughter Jordan Marie Easter was born, and I sent out my LAST "Health Food" for thought newsletter. The time constraints of being a new father just didn`t leave enough hours in the day for writing my own monthly newsletter.
Among the things in my life that changed are:
  • My sleep habits (no matter what time I go to sleep, she still gets up at the same time and it`s REALLY early)
  • My recreation time (used to be a good book or a movie, now it`s Dr. Suess and Cinderella movies)
  • My diet habits (my new definition of fast food is anything I can eat while making a bottle and chasing a extremely mobile 1 year old baby)

One of the things I spend alot of time doing now is sitting in Jordan`s play room while she explores and plays with her toys, (she likes to have me nearby just in case her stuffed animals give her any lip). It always fascinates me to watch her play. The look on her face is a mix of wonder and excitement. Even though she may have already played with that particular toy many times, she seems to be looking at it in a whole new way.

What if we adults could continually strive to look at things anew?

How many times have we stopped doing things like the diet and exercise plan you started Jan. 1st or getting your spine checked regularly for subluxations. The reasons are many and varied like the people who make them. But if we could just try to look at it as if we were seeing it for the first time, we might reconnect with that spark of motivation or inspiration that made us pick up the project in the first place.

So whatever it is you stopped, start a new beginning. Looking at it as if for the first time and seeing things you may have missed before, and hopefully dodging those potholes that caused you to stop the project last time.

So I`ve vowed to give a new beginning to this monthly newsletter that so many of you have told me you enjoy. Some of it will be the same, some of it will be new.

If you have not had your spine checked in a while, please stop in and see us at our new location and get your spine and your health back on track.

Also, many of you have been asking about Jordan`s first birthday, you can view a slideshow of the party here.

Laughter Therapy

This middle-aged guy wakes up one morning and notices that his eyes are bulging and his ears are protruding. He becomes very concerned. So he goes to his doctor and asks him what is wrong with him. The doctor told him that he has a rare disease that will require him to take this medication for several months to clear up the disease, however the medication will make his hair fall out permanently.

Several months later the guy`s eyes are still bulging and his ears are still protruding - more so now that his hair is gone. So this time he goes to a different doctor who informs him that he has a prostate problem and that they will have to remove his testicles. So the guy has the surgery only to find out months later, his eyes are still bulging and his ears are still protruding.

Determined to find out what is wrong with him he goes to another doctor who tells him that the nerves in his hands are pinching the nerve endings in his ears and his eyes and the only way to resolve the problem is to have his hands amputated. Sadly, the guy lets his hands be amputated.

On a follow-up visit to this doctor the doctor informs him that while they were doing the surgery on his hands, they found that the man has a terminal cancer and that he only has months to live. The guy is hysterical at this point and resolves that if he only has months to live he is going to live it up. So he goes out to buy a brand new sports car, new furniture, and a new wardrobe. However, when he went to order some custom shirts, the tailor told him he took a 17-inch neck.

"No, I`ve always taken a 15-inch neck."

"But sir, you have a 17-inch neck."

"Listen - I`m 45 years old, and for the past 30 years I`ve taken a 15-inch neck."

"Okay, I`ll do it. But you do know what happens when the neck is too small?"

"What?"

"It makes your eyes bulge and your ears protrude."

Health Tools

This is a new section I`m trying for this newsletter. In it I will highlight various tools to help you get and stay healthy. After all, you can`t fix your health if you don`t have the correct tools in your toolbox. If anyone has a product they would like to know about or would like me to take a look at, please email me about it.

This months tool, is intraMAX™ an all in one nutrition supplement that takes the place of your other supplements in one 1 ounce drink. One of the main facets of health is diet and nutrition. I`ve learned over the years, I am disorganized and a procrastinator. Remembering to take all the various vitamins and supplements that I KNOW are good for me was time consuming and hard to remember. IntraMAXtm is what I call the shotgun approach to nutrition, anything you would ever need in a supplement is in this all organic and natural supplement.

Personal testimonial here. I have been taking IntraMAXtm for about 2 months. I have lost 15lbs, increased my energy, my focus and overall sense of well-being in that time. I`ve never bothered to carry a nutritional supplement in my office before, but have been so impressed that I now carry IntraMAXtm for myself and my patients.

Take a look at the ingredient list and tell me if you can find a more complete nutritional supplement.

If you have any questions about this tool or would like to try it, please contact our office. You can get more information about it at www.druckerlabs.com .
